We didn't put all of our eggs in one basket. We were occupied by a hostile force and shoved into smaller and smaller plots, which were burned over our heads when we couldn't pay our taxes.

Our people died frothing green at the mouse from eating grass while the British exported what was left to eat for their own benefit.

Just sayin.
