You can be pulled into the IRRs even a dozen or more years later if you are
one of the folks they deem to be needed. Our neighbor (old house) was
called up just before we moved. He hadn't been in the reserves for 12
years. He's a triage/diasaster medical specialist and has worked national
disasters, voluntarily, for years. He was one of the guys working with the
folks with dogs at the Twin Towers. He's also in his 50s.

There's lots more of them, they just aren't raising a stink. They are
simply going because they figure they have no choice or they simply aren't
showing up and waiting to see if anything comes of it.
