Yes, that's exactly the point where jikes stummied.

Thanks, that's nice but someone else sended me his classes which
enabled me to work with them. My problem is that if I want to build
a Debian package from it I want to be (must be!) able to compile
it myself on my own machine. Yust packaging the classes would
be an ugly workaround. So I have to track down the reason, but
I feel I have to gain more knowledge about the thing first.

By the way, what about building a jar file from the classes.
I'm really new to Java but I thought it would be the flavour
how packages would be shipped, right?
