That was the only time I'd seen it. I've just been using "4.0"
(for example) by itself, assuming that everyone would know that I
was referring to slackware _because_ that's what BL is based on.
And everyone understood me just fine.

Thanks. I probably _should_ have seen it myself. It's obvious
now.

More than anything I was miffed about having my post (seemingly)
ignored after spending so much time with a search engine trying
to find a reference to the mysterious "SW8.1 compiler".

And perhaps a little embaressed....

Thanks again, Ron, and take it easy. Sindi and I have been
chatting, and everything is OK there, I hope. I was wrong.

Had to happen some day ;-)
