No, but BasicLinux is based very much on Slackware distributions, and
the acronym "SW", especially when written as SW4, SW7.1, SW8.1, SW9.1
etc., has been used on this list pretty much from the beginning.

Don't blame Sindi for using it. If anything, you might blame us all
for not making it clear to good folks joining the list, and it might
have saved you what appears to have been baffling jargon.

On behalf of all of us, I do apologise for not making it clear sooner.

True, it is a technical forum based around a specialised distro, in
turn based on Slackware. And I don't think Sindi was the first to use
it.
