I think the actual name of the file might vary between
distributions.

IMHO, insmod is simpler (and avoids getting tangled in the
syntax of a config file).

Yes, loadlin accepts the same parameters. Just add them to
the loadin line in boot.bat.

An example for this already exists in /etc/rc.

Yes, that's what /root/netsetup is. But, I prefer doing it in
/etc/rc.
