It's a Bromax 10 baseT. I'm sure it works, since I previously had it
working with BL2 (prior to a crash that pretty much hosed the
installation). I got it on ebay for under $7. The wireless card is one I
borrowed from the library here - an old Wavelan bronze.

I suppose booting with one of the "stock" Slack kernels (net.i?) might be
another option. That's what I did under BL2 when I was experimenting with
that wireless card earlier. I never quite got it to work, though - don't
recall many particulars. I did have a wvlan0 when I ran ifconfig, but was
having trouble making a dhcp request through it, I think.
