If you use the BL2 kernel but the BL1 libraries, does this mean all the
programs have to be compiled specially for BL3?

Wallpapers???? What is wrong with a plain background? Which image
viewer? xterm or xvrt (or whatever it was called that is smaller)?

via parallel or serial cable? I need some substitute for plip, which I
can no longer get working between two pairs of linux computers.

Can we guess what the surprise is? A new mail program that will let you
send mail from within a browser?

Does the lynx I compiled happen to work with BL3? My guess is that the
BL1 kernel was not compatible somehow, since it was compiled with a static
glibc. This would be a good test, same kernel as BL2 but different
libraries.

Thanks again for sharing all your work.
