It means that your binary needs that library in order
to function. The library is not found because it has
not been installed on your system. To get libcrypto,
you should install the openssl-solibs package. It is
in the /slackware/a directory of Slackware 8 or 9
(unfortunately, Slackware 7.1 does not provide openssl).
