Well, you're in luck, because the originator of the technique is right
on this list! So, Terry, I'll let you answer the questions! <G>

Don't feel bad that you didn't know about it Lois, its a fairly new
technique and still not accepted by all agencies as being legitimate and
useful. However all of us who own horses and know how well those
super-sized sniffers work have no trouble imagining it being effective!
Of course, as with dogs, it will depend on your horse's aptitude and
ability and desire.
