HI, Tracy! Welcome to the group! I'm fairly new here also, and just a year into MSAR.
I don't know if the Lake of the Ozarks is too far for you to travel, but our team has a seminar in April that might help answer some questions for you, and your teammates. you'll find information at www.obsar.org.

Hi, everyone.

My name is Tracy Helget. I am in northeast Kansas, and am interested in
starting a volunteer mounted search and rescue group here. I would
appreciate any direction/information you could give me. I really don't know
where to start; I've been reading about it lately and it is something I
would like to do. Another woman tried to organize a unit in this area
several years ago but could not find enough interest.

I am at very beginning stages here and don't know where I should be
directing my efforts.
