instead, which is the maintained KDE3. It also conveniently installs into
/opt/trinity.
Are you prepared to make the spells for Trinity ? We could all have lots of
ideas. But in
the end we have ask ourself what are we (or I) prepared to do for this
problem that our
distribution have.

Please do realise that if I will stay alone to fix this. I will most
definitely choose the
simplest solution that is acceptable.

Like I mentioned. There is really pain in the but to get thing working like
they should. I
have all kinds of problems due to finding/installing pc files in the correct
place searching
the libs... All that problems would just go away with normal installation.

and we know: You have to run KDE-old and KDE-new side-by-side for some time
until KDE-
new really can replace KDE-old. If ever. Outside apps using KDE libs are
sweet sugar icing
on top of the mess... but if they're build with the proper prefix, no
conflict shall occur.

folks up to KDE4 in any time. They got LXDE with some trinity apps (namely
KMail and
Kaddressbook, which _perhaps_ has full functionality in KDE 4.7 again).
