Audit? :-)
PL just email us the results and we all have to believe him.
If PL wanted to manipulate the voting we have no possibility to prevent
it, moreover if the particular votes are secret.

Correct, which is why I want signed e-mails, then if people doubt the
results I (or whomever is the PL at the time) can produce all of the
votes, which contain integrity checks from the authors, for
verification.
