Geraldi is a genetic dwarf. The nodes are very close
together and fruit is developed on shoots coming from every
node. It will be a dwarf whether it is rooted or grafted.

I would think many trees have dwarfs or dwarf potential
buds. I have budded many Asian pears and then threw
many very small trees that didn't seem to grow properly.
It dawned on later that these were probably from dwarf buds
because I definitely remember the leaves being very close
together.

I don't have a scanner but will send you photos of my
Geraldi and the tree that I topworked last year when the
the fruit get ripe. If it not too cold where you live I would
think this is the way to go. I'm no connonseir(sp) of
mulberries but I think it is every bit as good as Everbearing.

Lester

Is Gerardi own-rooted or grafted? What makes it a dwarf?
