Soil type: clayey topsoil over heavy clay subsoil over impermeable hardpan.
OK its not quite that bad, but I intend to do all container berries in
hightunnels. Cheaper than fighting the soil. Its a clay loam to plow depth
with mod organic matter. It is the field closest to the barn so has been
manured regularly. it does grow fair crops for this far north in areas that
surface drain.

All roads get soft around here during the spring thaw. I just don't want
vehicles getting stuck all the time during summer rains. I'm just trying to
figure out what will do a good job and not cost an arm and a leg. I can get
pit run gravel dumped and spread all day long, but that gets expensive too.
