Just noticed your reference to RCD. In Michigan, RCD is one of the acronyms used  for Resource Conservation and Development, which is a program of the NRCS, Natural Resources Conservation Service, part of USDA. The other is RC & D. Are we talking about the same thing?

Directly from their website:
"Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) program objectives focus on improvement of quality of life achieved through natural resources conservation and community development.  The goals of the program include developing sustainable communities, encouraging prudent development, and managing and conserving natural resources. RC&D areas are locally sponsored areas designated by the Secretary of Agriculture for RC&D technical and financial assistance program funds.

Each RC&D area has a community-based program established and governed by local leaders.  Each area is sponsored by the counties and Conservation Districts within its boundaries. Other organizations and units of government may also be co-sponsors.

Activities in each area are governed by a RC&D Council composed of a representative from each sponsor. These councils establish their own governing policies and develop programs to fit local needs.  A NRCS employee is designated as the RC&D Coordinator responsible for managing the activities of the RC&D program. "

I'm curious to know. Thanks.

Well around here it is really got crazy this winter, the sub zero night's, early lambing, early calves just to mention a little of the wild days and nights.  Oh did I mention the snow and ice storms that has kept me working on generators all winter.  Need to put another motor in another one for the next storm. Been trying to get my order ready for spring but haven't had time to really set down and figure out what we are growing for next year yet.  Been lambing like crazy since conference, about 120 left to lamb.  Still holding around a 2 average.
