You could also look at NetTracker from Sane Solutions. We moved to
NetTracker Enterprise last year, and one feature it offers is the option of
tracking visitors via cookies.

No personal information is necessary to track users. No tracking scheme is
100% accurate though (if a person uses more than one browser on a computer,
or multiple computers, they will be recorded as multiple users, as well as
users that share computers appearing as a single user).
