I agree, and I don't for a minute mean to imply that protesters shouldn't be
allowed to protest. I would defend in a minute their right to do so. I am
asking them to think about the consequences of their actions.

As for the points, I agree that I have no problem with the last two. I just
don't think they're relevant to the current situation. Anyone who thinks our
action is based on racism has a seriously skewed view of the world. And the
idea of reacting to terrorism by "redressing our policy" is so bass-ackwards
it's laughable. "Thank you sir, may I have another?"...

I am inclined to agree with you -- however, as you say, our political system
gaurantees these people the right to assemble, no matter what the situation.
While a great irony, it's also a great tribute to the rightness of our
government system that this sort of demonstration will be allowed.

At least I can get behind the last two points that they make. Though I
imagine my version of redress of middle east policy would be vastly
different from theirs. And nothing wrong at all with the third point...
