Well, crap! Sorry, but I just don't seem to have a home at all <g> Hell's bells, I didn't get the BO virus. I surely qualify as a "hippie." I mean, sheesh, I was born in SF. People's Park. Ah, dare I mention that I still have my Akai reel-to-reel taping from Woodstock. Ah, Garberville anyone? (O.K., so you all aren't versed in Dead Headese, that's the last holdout for all the old Dead Heads)

So, I'm not in fear of other humans, not that I "like" much that's out there anymore <g> but I am "prepared" to hunker down if need be and wish the government would take a flying leap!

I just can't win <g>

Lynda, who owns Birkenstocks AND a 30-06!

Yeah, I was a 'hippy' through high school and college, then I tried the
yuppy thing for almost 20 years. It just wasn't 'me'. I'm an idealistic
hippy again, but I hope not as naive as I was.

I was just talking to someone who said that there seem to be two types of
homesteaders. One is the cool hippy types and nature lovers... folks
that may want to deal less with concrete and steel and more with green and
timber. The other type fears "other"
humans or are hunkering down for the end of the world.

I like Homestead Hippy, too. Peace and love, man.

is a
worse insult than calling them a Liberal in this conservative area).

I think I'm a reverse hippy. Most hippies start out young and
idealistic, then evolve to system participants. I started very naive
but pretty traditional, trying to fit the system. Now I stay as far
away from the system as possible and am becoming more idealistic as I
age. Also less tolerant of fools of all manner.

Homestead hippy. I can live with that.

And you all know my drug of choice.
