Van Dell, please confine yourself to non-brainwashed comments.

You obviously have been paying no attention. There is no one who fails to
learn to read unless they are indoctrinated from a very young age to believe
that they cannot read until they are taught.

So point out that population where reading is the norm, there are large
numbers of children who are NOT indoctrinated from the cradle to believe they
cannot read until taught, and those children fail to learn to read.

Can't do it, can you. That's because your response is the product of
indoctrination. You think of the population of children around you as
'tabula rasa',
a blank slate, coming to the world of education unmarred and unconditioned.
They are not. They are taught by every phase of society that if they don't
go
to school and obey the rigors laid upon them, they will be 'uneducated' and
illiterate.

That paradigm is not in your mind because you are still bound by
indoctrination. I am not. </HTML>
