We used to call in the dogs if eggs were spilt on the
floor. Eggs and especially cream were hard to clean
up dogs did it much more effectively than we could.
Our dogs were so well trained to stay outside that we
had to drag them in to get them through the door.
We were very careful about giving dogs eggs in shells.
Once they developed a taste they could become an "egg
sucker". A neighbor had to have a dog put down for
that.
