I probably need to add a bit more just in case anyone wants to build one
like this...
The hardware cloth was 1/2" I believe. I am thinking back and I don't
*think* I used any of the 'good' 1/4" down there. I saved the partial
roll of 1/4" hardware cloth for other uses. The baby saver wire has 1/2
x 1" holes, which is borderline large, I know, but the the rocks around
here are flat, sedimentary type rocks, and with the flat rocks holding
down the wire, I think I it'll be fine. I haven't had any moles in the
beds yet, and there are mole tunnels between the beds, so it's working
for now anyway.

is smaller than regular rabbit wire, and while I doubt either would
stop a groundhog(we don't have gophers that I know of) it will stop
