Actually, the feds are getting their data. The list of information that schools can (spell that are encouraged to collect) collect about students is now at over 700 items including their medical records, dental records, parents medical records, parents dental records, etc.
Like the backdoor draft, when in doubt, the feds, particularly now that NCLB is in effect, use the backdoor to get the information they want.

This and your half-decade of previous ravings make it clear that
homesteading is not really your reason for being here.
One can be well-rounded and enjoy more than just homesteading. This list
is very politically entertaining. :-)
I went to that sad Bill Maher piece. Is there any comedy not based on
Bushbashing on his show?
He's made himself a pretty big target. And I don't even consider myself a
liberal.
I don't why these losers can realize that affirmative action, gun
control, and animal rights, along with the other irrelevances they've
clung to in order to capture the emotion votes of a few nuts, have
alienated Southern and rural voters (but not limited to these) to the
point where they're out of power.
This was the point I really wanted to respond to.
Bush has made himself hated by most countries. He has made himself hated
by many in this country.
Perhaps the Democrats/Liberals have their "issues", but so do
Republicans/Conservatives...and there isn't much of a difference between
the two anymore, are there?
Republicans want to control people just as much as the democrats, just over
different issues.
And if you want to know the hot topics I have against Bush it is not only
gun control, but box cutter control, swiss army knife control, and
finger-nail file control. Airport "security" is anything but secure.
I wonder if Orwell knew Bush, because Bush is a great example of
Newspeak/doublethink.
For example:
~The "President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health": "New Freedom"
meaning they force you & your loved ones to take a mental health screen.
~"The Patriot Act": now meaning that Patriots demand to see papers, take
away anything resembling a weapon, etc. and that Patriots will respond by
being compliant.
~Since the National ID didn't pass well, he has given states a "choice"
whether to harvest data for the Feds. The choice is that they can be
compliant and their citizens can do "Federal" things, like fly in an
airplane, or they can be sovereign and their citizens won't be eligible.
Sounds perfectly reasonable that a driver's licence should allow you to
fly, right?
And the list goes on, and on, and on, and on.
Best wishes,
Melody
"For whom, it suddenly occurred to him to wonder, was he writing this
diary? For the future, for the unborn. His mind hovered for a moment round
the doubtful date on the page, and then fetched up with a bump against the
Newspeak word doublethink. For the first time the magnitude of what he had
undertaken came home to him. How could you communicate with the future? It
was of its nature impossible. Either the future would resemble the present,
in which case it would not listen to him: or it would be different from it,
and his predicament would be meaningless." (George Orwell, _1984_.)
