My 2.4 kernels work with loop BL3 as 'read only file system'.
I searched on 'Error 30 :R/O file system' and got only the thread I
started:

Slackware 10.2 bare.i 2.4.31 kernel is also R/O file system when booted with BL3 loop fs.img and initfs.gz. I don't see anything kernel-specific in initfs.gz when mounted -o loop.
I found nothing pertinent online. Are there other linuxes that mount in a loop filesystem with a 2.4 kernel I could try here?
