I downloaded a nearly 1MB shockwave flash 7 installer file.

I'm using Flash 7 in Opera 8.52.

The installer (from the tar.gz) said my glibc was older than 2.2

I'm running on glibc 2.3.1 (and X libraries from Slackware 7.1).

I have 2.2.5 in BL2 and 7.1 X libraries in BL2.

What do I do in preferences to point at the libraries for .swf file?

First, put two files in /usr/local/lib/opera/plugins
-----------------
flashplayer.xpt
libflashplayer.so
-----------------

I have the files and copied them in BL3 and will copy them to BL2.

Then boot opera -- hopefully it will find the files.
To check: click on: Tools > Advanced > Plugins

In Preferences? For Realaudio I had to edit manually (Opera 7).

Cheers,
Steven
