Have you had time to look at my config.log error messages from when I tried to compile gs 8.50? I got something similar when trying to compile SANE and had to modify every makefile. Modifying the makefiles for gs did not help for some reason but I don't really know what I am doing.

Also I crashed things badly when I tried to compile a kernel module and don't want to risk that again soon.


If I were to compile with SW81 would the result work with BL2 and the upgraded glibc? I am thinking of trying this, at least to see where the problem might be.
