Would you also provide kernels for sound

Why? You've already got a kernel that does sound.

It is twice the size of the BL2 kernel.

I just discovered one reason why I may have been unable to compile a kernel module - gcc 2.7.3 is recommended, 2.95.2 is said not to work for compiling the kernel and I was trying to use 2.95.3 from SW81.
I really should learn to compile my own kernel eventually.

and USB?

The target system for BasicLinux is 486DX and early
Pentium. I have never seen USB on a 486 and only
one of my four Pentiums has it (but I have no USB
peripherals).

Is anyone in this group still actually using a non-laptop 486?
I was when I first started with BL2 but people are now giving us working 200MHz pentiums (and a fixable 600 Mhz board).

Cheers,
Steven
