Would a linux HTML editor be usable as a sort of wordprocessor?
That is, would it show you what was bold, underlined, and centered?

If so is there some way to do a hard page with HTML?

Do these editors so the usual cut and paste and search as well?

There are several Linux editors that do syntax highlighting
(eg nedit, which I use for HTML). I'm a little surprised
that elvis doesn't do syntax highlighting (perhaps vim does?).
You will vim and some other editors in /slakware/ap1. Of
those, I know for sure that jed does syntax highlighting.

If you can't find anything you like, let me know and I
will see if I can get a BL3 version of nedit (IMHO the
best bells+whistles editor for Linux). Or perhaps I
should look for a dedicated HTML editor?

Cheers,
Steven
