With DOS fdisk, you make only the DOS partition
(primary, bootable). The rest of the HD is left
unallocated. Then with Linux fdisk, you make two
more primary partitions:
/dev/hda2 Linux swap
/dev/hda3 Linux native

All three partitions go on /dev/hda

/dev/hdb = second HD (slave on primary IDE interface)
