Well, it looks like there were two separate problems with the cursor.
I have a nice big green cursor using pico at a shell account (in pine,
lynx, or alone). I can now see where I am typing in this mail.
But e3pi has a green cursor only at the very bottom of the screen, not
when I am typing text above. No big deal at all, and I don't need to use
e3pi in X except to edit the menu perhaps, and it worked for that oddly
enough. Maybe there is a bug in e3pi? Or Xvesa?

I might try a slightly larger font at 800 resolution rather than squinting
at this one. Would you want to offer xterm-640 and xterm-800 in the menu
with different font sizes? Is there a 10x20? I have trouble telling the
a from the o with this font and resolution. I know other people who have
trouble reading small fonts and don't want to get bifocals. block looks
like block.

Good, that will save other people from wondering where the black cursor
went.
