/var/X11R6/bin/X is a symbolic link to the current Xserver.
Change it to change the Xserver used.

I recommend against it, you may want to use it later. Besides,
uninstalling it will probably leave you without a current Xserver.
I don't think the uninstall routine in pkgtool restores the old
link.

If it were me, I'd unplug it and just use the mono VGA for now.

But the bl2-x.tgz package is preconfigured for the vga16
Xserver. If you use the mono Xserver, you are on your own.

Yes, if you get it wrong, you can blow the monitor. If the
screen starts screaming or flashing weird patterns, don't
wait around. Press CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE at the first sign of
trouble. Immediately.

Just startx.

It is better to use the default settings until you actually
get it working. Then you can play around with the settings.
