Can we get back to the original topic, the possible creation of a new

The debate between flat / tree grimoire, or if we should include
variables KEYWORD, SPELL, etc. is another discussion.

While I agree that openoffice probably doesn't belong in editors, I'm not sure that there are enough programs currently in the main grimoires that would support the creation of the new section.

Small sections can be good for several reasons. One of which it is much
easier for a single guru to maintain. There might not be many, but I
think it's enough to warant it's section. Though I think Hamish's
comment that it might better be called 'productivity' is good. Another
reason small sections are good, because it's easier to maintain, I think
it might be easier for us to recruite people to maintain them.

Another thing with this particular section, although it would be small,
I can still see it being a decent amount of work to maintain. Each of
the spells that would go in there are not 5 minute compiles. Openoffice
takes me 24hrs to compile. Openoffice, by itself is a difficult spell
maintain and almost needs its own dedicated maintainer. It's been a
long time since openoffice has succesfully compiled for anyone. The
original developer at one point even decided to give up on the spell
because it was so difficult, and he was tired of working on it. I've
picked up on it recently, in the last few days, and it fails after about
17 hrs for me. Waiting 17hrs, hoping that a spell will work, to find it
fail can be frustraiting.
