Hi my friends,
I think the idea Karsten is proposing is very nice and based on the same idea
I would like to go one step further...
Mirroring of source packages is nice... but what if we're going to mirror
also
precompiled packages?
I mean: how many there has a full system precompiled with k7 optimization?
So.. I'm starting the installation with k7 optimization and the system ask to
me if I want to download pre-compiled packages (if available and thus using
the distributed mirroring to fetch precompiled archives) or if I want to
compile everything from sources.
I know this "one step further" is not as trivial as saying it but it would be
a nice feature...
Let me know what you think... I have some ideas on how to implement it... I
can put this ideas on wiki...
