- Subject: [SM-Discuss] split gcc spells
- Date: Wed, 7 Jul 2004 23:08:24 +0200
Hi,
just wanted to give a roadmap of how the split spells will be handled.
I'll create "dummy" spells for g++, g77, gcj and objc in the test and
stable grimoires. Spells that don't do anything, just existing to
satisfy a dependency.
This way we can start adding dependencies on those split spells without
having to worry about not integrating those changes into test (as it
happened with some of the libstdc++ depends). The split spells
themselves will have to wait until we're ready for gcc 3.4.x.
I'll add the dummy spells and remove libg2c, libgcj and libstdc++ spells
from devel tomorrow, as soon as those are in people can start adding
dependencies.
