I think another reason is because there is no GMO in organic , and because there is no control of GMO pollen no buffer big enough to stop the bees there will be no organic eggs, chicken, beef, lamb, milk etc. how can they do that to organic folks, we have a right to farm also. the thing I don't like about GMO is there is no control and GMO genes are dominant and will make all alfalfa seed GMO. this could be the last straw that brakes the camels back. .

There is only one reason (justification) for GE alfalfa; to gain full monopoly of the food system. It is as simple as that.

I am busy with a local movement towards moratorium on Vancouver Island.
We are returning letters that were sent to the editor in favour, and this
is
a very important reason why these concerned citizens who support
'technology' in farming (their words)...
I want to point out that there is talk of polluting our wonderful gene
stock
of our precious alfalfa, and nobody can point to a reason why we could
possibly want to change alfalfa!
Yes, very concerned.
Made me sick to my stomach to read these letters.

As far as I know, alfalfa is the treasure of farmers...
Easy to grow, highly nutritious, deep nitrogen fixing roots.
We are in the midst of discussions here: a moratorium on ge crops on
Vancouver Island,

with a local contingency that is ‘pro-technology’ in farming having most
recently been aroused.

disgusting fools.the hell with them.........greedy morons

shut...that....entire....gmo/chemical ag world........out of your
life...Block It Entirely.

end of story

fist raised with two fingers forming V for those holding firm against
intrusion into our world by this monstrous abomination

and keep it out of Cuba too

pure unbridled rage at those bastards

Go Permaculture!

Alfalfa and a ge apple seem to be key issues for us here at the moment.

Tell them to go to hell and stay there and take their insults to Life,
Earth and Mankind with them.

They themselves are miscogenations, unfit to associate with society.

You asked..
