Here in southern Spain we all apply it abundantly to our onions. Don't know why but it doesn't seem to do any harm!

Subject: [permaculture] fireplace ash
Hi, I have a good bit of fireplace ash from an indoor wood burning
fireplace and am wondering if this is a useful resource for fertilizing
or composting. Can anyone advise?
Thanks in advance,
Lance from Northern California
