I've actually had very good luck with the Meyers lemon. It fruits a little
most years, and it makes a very attractive houseplant in the winter. It's
low maintenance (it likes to dry out between watering) and because it's quite
cold hardy for a citrus, I don't have to bring it in until the oak leaves are
down, and theres's decent light on the windowsill.
