I'd also like to add to my earlier comment that we also turned a great deal of what we removed into siding and stalls for three 32 stall (combined) horse barns (we have an older version of the Woodmizer LT40), branches  and smaller dimension limbs were mulched and used for one project or another and the rest was used as firewood for our wood boiler.  Rootballs that were removed were used as fill for some low ground we were slowly filling. 

If you plan it properly, regardless of the type of wood (we have made great use of thick cut silver maple and cotton wood) the costs that seem high really balance out in the end.
