I agree. It can teach you very much about very little, but very little about very much. No one has a tool box with just one tool. When we face the world we live in we need many multiple of tools and we need to apply them in an integrated fashion. I think that’s why no one has ever been able to develop a completely sustainable model. Life is completely complex.

reductive science is very powerful, but it's always important to understand that you're missing some of the complexity. When you apply that reductive science you can get into trouble because you're mistaking what you know for all there is to know. So, there's a lack of humility involved, and there is a tendency to apply these things long before we know what's working and what's not working.
