Do what Dave said. I have this problem all the time since my fuel guage broke. You will need two open end wrenches, one to hold the injector at the first cylinder where the fuel line meets the cylinders and a second wrench to loosen the nut below the enjector. Just loosen the nut a quarter turn, crank the engine, fuel will squirt out and the engine will start, then quickly tighten the lower nut. If the engine does not start then loosen the nut at the second cylinder and so on.... BTW you might have a frozen fuel line from condensation in the fuel tank... Bob.

The air  has to be bled out of the system before it will start. If the manual does not indicate where the bleed valves are start looking around the  injectors for a nut that when loosened has a hole in the thread [do not remove this nut completely ]. It is through this hole that the air is pushed out. Bleed until only diesel comes out then tighten the nut. There should be one on top of the fuel filter also, if you find this one bleed it first.

Hey everyone, long time no "see"...I've got alot of catching up to do with y'all (you won't believe I met another farrier who also market farms ; )) but first we're having problems with a new massey ferguson.  We're in the process of building a log house and in getting it up a hillside to get out trees it ran out of diesel.  Problem: once the tank was refilled, the tractor still will not start & the manual/fuel system schematics don't match up with this particular model & he can't find anything online to help.  It has 23 hrs on it so it should be mechanically in tip-top shape.
Any ideas/suggestions??
