If one studies history, to be sure innovations have occurred in the past
however till the patent system came about things moved very slowly. After it
was introduced and ENFORCED innovation exploded, put people on the moon,
gave us what we have today.

Oh I suppose you could go to Cuba where things of this nature don't exist
however you would soon find yourself hungry clinging to an old World War Two
Inner Tube hoping the tide would drag you BACK to the U.S. of A. without
running into a shark!

That is called Socialism and it has FAILED everywhere it has been tried.
