Through a traditional seed selection program Schmeiser sprayed some of

I am not clear on whether he separated or not. Also, some of the tests of
what percentages of his crop was RUR material varied depending upon who did
the test. Monsanto's tests showed a much higher percentage than
Schmeiser's - but Monsanto is known for lying about scientific results,
firing those that have results they don't like, etc. Why Monsanto was
allowed to test is a mystery to me, especially with their record.

The most he sprayed apparently is 3+ acres, of his 1000(?) acres.

He did not buy or steal Round Up Ready Canola seed from Monsanto or any
other farmer. Correct?

Right. He did not leave his farm, go steal seed from somewhere and bring it
back and plant it on his farm.

Or was his field pollinated by adjoining fields of RUR canola. And he
just
saved and planted his seed as he usually does. It just happened that
they
developed RoundUp resistant properties.

He does not, apparently have adjoining fields with RUR canola - but there
are instances of trucks driving by with RUR canola seed, and an instance
where some such seed spilled.

----Either way, Schmeiser didn't do anything wrong as far as I am
concerned.
And, Monsanto's lawsuit against him has no merit. Schmeiser needs to
hire
better attorneys/

He is considering appealing - here is a reply that he sent when I emailed to
ask what was happening with the case, and how I could help:

"Sorry for the delay, as I have been overwhelmed by the response!
The decision to appeal is being considered, but has not been made yet. The
trial has been a significant drain on my financial resources, and if enough
money can be raised, an appeal will be filed.
