Hi all,

Around here we call them rats with hooves. The problem is the flatlanders
who move in and start feeding "Bambi."

We (Extension) usually recommend either an 8 foot fence or two 4 foot
fences 4 feet apart.

Actually, it has to do more with physiology than brain power. Deer can
jump high by gathering themselves or the can jump long and low by
stretching out, but they can't jump long and high. If you're 4 feet tall
at the withers, two 4 foot fences looks long and tall.

I'd love too, but I'd get arrested. It's illegal to hunt out of season
here. If F&G gives you a depredation permit, you have to report the kill,
field dress it, and call the local charity! I figure if it got fat eating
my crop, I should be able to eat it. I'm thinking pit trap...
