Very tempting. I think my Treo 650 (and, as importantly, its apps) does what
I want better than the iPhone will when it ships in June. I don't have a
data plan with it, it's more for convergence between PDA and phone.

But I bet by this time next year (with third party hardware and software)
that will no longer be true. A decent chess program, a
dictonary/thesaurus/encyclopedia (wikipedia via tomeraider), DocsToGo or
equiv, and eReader or equiv would HAVE to be in place before I start saving
my money. The second they do all that and come out with a decent sync-er to
OmniOutliner, my Treo's going to feel like a telegraph.

As it is, I might have to set an EOL date for when to put a self-imposed
purchase freeze on new Palm software and upgrades.

Alex.
