cat6 is all fine and dandy. however, i paid $450 per 1000' box due to
customer specs for cat6 plenum cable and pay $55 per 1000' box for cat5e

Gb. cat5e takes you to 1 Gb. not many folks have 10 Gb components
available.

so, you can put it in for the future; however, you won't be able to do
much with it now.

Ahhh yes, looking down the road, planning for the future, hmmm... spend the money put in the cat6, the labor is the same only the price of the cable is different, and labor will only get more expensive, if you use cat5, especially the cheap cat5 you may not even be able to run Gb, it's junk, it's fine for 100base but that's about all. Do it right the first time and don't have to do it again.... cat6 will give you leeway for the future...
