I think we've finally answered the ultimate question of our time:

What would Jesus do? Buy a Mac.

Dude. I already said that I did buy one and yes I know it works great:

Yeah, to get the full benefit, you have to go into the Universal Access prefs and turn on Full Keyboard Access, but its really nice.

And its been my experience moving between my Mac, my mom's PC, PCs and Linux boxes at State, that the keyboard shortcuts are a lot more consistent on the Mac as well.

And drop the 2 buttons OK? We get the point. You're too lazy/cheap to buy a $15 mouse after you just forked over many times that for a new computer that is otherwise better. And if you did fork over the cash, you'd discover that it works. Period. No "Windows is building a Driver Information Database" for the mouse, nothing. It Just Works.

To my understanding, that concept originated with Macs --
you can do
anything with the keyboard, and there is actually a built in system utility for managing key commands and creating your own that apply system wide. All fully realized OS X software is replete with key commands for most functions.
I'd even say they're more user intuitive, but that's just my bias speaking I'm sure :-)

who has a whole second or two to wait!? :)

As I said I haven't used Macs in a while, but one thing I remeber was the lack of good keyboard support for navigation and
commands.
In most Windows programs, you can do almost anything with the keyboard and you can easily switch programs, windows,
etc. with the keyboard.
