The best open mic I've ever been to is at Six String Cafe in MacGregor
Village in Cary on Tuesday nights. It can be an awesome, humbling experience

BTW, if there are any pickers out there, there's an acoustic jam every
Tuesday night at Crowley's Mini-mart in Raleigh. All skill levels
welcome; the fare is blues, bluegrass, folk and pop (tho not always in
that order).

It's a block north of Wade, on the corner of Medlin and Dixie Trail; feel
free to email me for more specific directions. The group is pretty
guitar heavy but we'd more than welcome bass, fiddle, banjo and mandolin
.. or anything else you play.
