I'm not about to give up several years of advance registration and go
through the hassle of migrating to a new host for a cosmetic bug that is
endemic throughout the industry. But yeah, don't think I haven't
considered it.

Congrats. So do mine, with the exception of name server entries, when
the names themselves don't change (and I have no UI to update their IPs).
They told me I could delete the name servers and then add them back in
with different names, but I don't care that much, and I sort of enjoy
pointing out that they're incompetent. But maybe I'll try again. It's been
a few months since my last attempt...

My point wasn't that register.com was solely to blame, though - we're
talking about my old co-lo provider, ARIN, and the whole system. It's
laughably poorly run.
