Lest somebody take this the wrong way, let me say that I didn't
mean that the issue is of trivial importance... clearly to the gay
couples who want to marry, it is important. What I mean was
more along the lines of "it's so trivially obvious that there's no good
reason to oppose gay marriage, that it's not even worth arguing about."
