well, maybe what those people all /meant/ was:

"Durham is great if you don't have any kids, pack your own heat, won't be living alone, will definitely have a security system, and can give robbers the beat-down."

and i hear they have great restaurants. instant Southern Paradise.

i wasn't there, so i can't say for sure that that is what they meant.

Not exactly the ringing endorsement. When I lady at the grocery store in Durham said that, we got nervous.

Heard things like crime, corrupt police force, bad education system, all sorts of things.
